Professor Dr. Essam Farahat, Minia University President, has issued a decision appointing Dr. Eman Zaki Mousa El-Sherif, Dean of Faculty of Specific Education, as Advisor to the University President for Innovation Affair. This appointment comes in recognition of her distinguished efforts in promoting the innovation and entrepreneurship during the previous period, as well as her remarkable achievements at both the universal and national levels.

President of Minia University stated that launching this decision is issued in light of the directives of the Supreme Council of Universities and reflects the strategic importance of innovation as one of the basic pillar of the Egyptian State and one of the seven national strategic standards of higher education and scientific research, due to its vital role in linking knowledge with production and enhancing the advanced outcomes of scientific research.

His Excellency further emphasized that Minia University is committed to activating the role of innovation as a step for development and to creating a university environment that supports innovation. The university also aims to prepare cadres capable of competitive and effective contribution in the national development path, stressing that the university believes that innovation isn’t a choice, but rather a national necessity and fundamental engine for sustainable development and community service.

Essam Farahat wished Dr. Eman EL-Sherif continued success and excellence in her new tasks, confirming that the university is keen to strengthen the innovation ecosystem by supporting the specialized excellence centers, encouraging the applied research, linking the scientific research outcomes with needs of community and labor market, that contributes to enhancing Minia University’s position as a leading institution innovation and regional development.
