In light of the Golden Jubilee of Minia
University, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research witnessed on
Tuesday the conclusion of the” Civilization Meeting on the Civilization Land-
Upper Egypt”, which was organized by Minia University during the period from April
5 to 7, in the attendance of the Governor of Minia, Major General Emad Kidwani, the President
of Minia University Dr. Essam Farahat and a distinguished group of
representatives from governmental, private, national, and technological universities.
It also welcomed several foreign cultural advisors, ministry officials,
executive leaders from the governor and university, and international students representing
26 countries.
Dr. Abdel Aziz Qonswa confirmed the
importance of students’ participation in various activities organized by the
university, as part of an integrated strategy aimed at enhancing the position
of Egyptian Universities as attractive educational goal for international students
through linking the educational process to the cultural and tourism experiences,
that contribute to increasing the number of incoming students and supporting
the country foreign currency resources.
The Minister added that organizing this meeting
highlights its glorious history and unique civilized location, as it has long
served and continues to serve- as a meeting point of civilization and a bridge between
the East and West.
His Excellency also stated that the
Egyptian Country chaired by the President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi President of Republic
has shown a great interest in strengthening the cultural concept, promoting the
values and encouraging acceptance others, which is reflected in the policies of
Higher Education and Scientific Research ministry, seeks to publish education,
and promote the cooperation culture across worldwide, thereby enhancing the
global standing of Egyptian Universities at the International plan.
